If we’re traveling for your wedding, I’ll arrive a day early to look around for the best photo spots and lay out my plan for your wedding day. If your wedding is local to me I’ll do a walk through of the venue sometime before the wedding. Ben and I have been photographing weddings as two lead photographers together for 15 years and were both students of photography long before that. Our experience together has given us the ability to communicate incredibly well and we’ve perfected our approach to how we handle every wedding day situation. We’ve photographed weddings in the rain, in the dark, in tropical storms, in terrible lighting situations, with difficult family situations, you name it we’ve seen it, and we have always delivered a collection of images our clients are blown away by. We talk a lot about how we use film instead of digital cameras. We aren’t just going for a trendy look with film, we’re going for the highest quality image we can get. We used digital cameras many years ago and we went back to film as our preferred tool because no digital camera produces images that look the same. No amount of editing will make it so, and nothing lights my creative fires more than a well crafted film image. I’ve always described it like this….Digital cameras make beautiful pictures. Film makes photographs that tell the real life story of the moment. There is SUCH a big difference. Film enables us to create images that tell the story of your relationship in the most beautiful way possible.
